Riverside is a city that offers a diverse selection of things to do all year long. Now that summer is here, there are even more enjoyable diversions to help pass the time on the warm summer evenings. One thing that many in Riverside look forward to is enjoying concerts in the park.
Hosted by the City of Riverside, Parks Recreation and Community Services Department in partnership with Riverside Downtown Partnership, this year’s Summer Concerts in the Park promises to be a series of fun filled events featuring live music, food vendors and a youth fun zone.
As the name “Summer Concerts in the Park” implies, there will be a different live band featured each night with a variety of music styles and genres being represented. Everything from Latin to classic rock will make its way to the stage.
New to the event this year will be the addition of a beer and wine garden hosted by Brooks Bar for those who are so inclined.
The Summer Concerts in the Park are for the whole family so while the adults listen to some good music and enjoy good food and beverages, there’s something for the kids too. The Summer Concerts in the Park features a youth Fun Zone where kids of all ages can spend hours doing fun filled activities. There will be bounce houses, face painting, balloon artists, and slot car racing. Fun Zone passes are $4 per night and you can get a season pass which is good for entire six week run for $12.
So, if you’re looking for a relaxing time along with some good food and music on a warm evening this summer, take a trip out to Fairmont Park in Riverside.
The concert series will be held each Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. starting June 13 and running through July 25 (except on 4th of July). Fairmont Park is located at 2601 Fairmount Blvd in Riverside California.
